ADMISSIONS TO GSIPS

“Am I the right person to attend the Monterey Institute?”

Only you can provide the answer.

We have found that the most important single factor in admission to GSIPS and eventual success at the Monterey Institute (overshadowing undergraduate grades, standardized test scores and other factors) is a strong personal commitment to a career in international policy studies.

Our applicant pool is broadly diverse and highly “self-selected.” If you believe strongly that this is the right school and program for you, please contact us and begin an application.

In assembling each year’s entering class, our admissions officers have maximum flexibility in evaluating your undergraduate record, professional experience and language skills. (GRE results are welcome, and may assist your application for scholarship consideration, but are not required for general admission).

Please note: the admissions process can take time. In order to ensure that you can enter at your desired date, please begin the process as early as possible, especially if you will require a visa to study in the United States, or if you need additional time to bring your language skills up to our entrance requirements.
