At GSIPS you will be taught by world-class faculty composed of scholars and researchers who are also seasoned practitioners in their fields. Their goal is preparing you for real-world challenges. Faculty members have unusually broad and deep experience in the areas of security analysis, trade policymaking, environmental policy, and analyzing and managing government, nonprofit and corporate organizations.

Together, the GSIPS faculty has created an original and highly stimulating curriculum. Going far beyond theory, coursework replicates the professional workplace through task-driven assignments drawn from contemporary international situations. Using simulation and modeling exercises, case studies, cross-cultural communications, content and contextual analysis, you will be immersed in typical situations drawn from various regions.

Everything you know and have learned, including your language abilities, will be activated and mobilized in the classroom. Working together with other students in small groups, you will develop useful skills in teamwork, consensus building, professional writing, public speaking and policy research analysis.
